We’ve built a culture which is caring, challenging and development-focused and we’re continually investing in our employees, their families, and the communities in which we live, work and serve.

Our Commitment

We continually seek to diversify our workforce along many different dimensions, to create an environment where each individual can contribute broadly, and to ensure our team members feel at home in our company. We know this takes work and focus from everyone within our company.  Our commitment enables us to attract and retain highly qualified employees from a broad array of backgrounds and to maintain our position as a market leader.  We know there is always room for improvement, and we continually strive to be better.  Here are some of the steps we have taken to demonstrate this commitment:

  • CMC operates in 12 countries around the world, and our extended global leadership reflects the diversity of nationalities that makes up our team
  • Our recruiting team focuses on expanding the candidate pools who are interested in working for our company, and we use AI tool Textio to eliminate unconscious bias language within our job posts
  • Through our Employee Resource Group (ERG) we partner with the John C Dunham STEM Partnership school, providing financial support, and access to mentors and internships. You can read about the success of the school here
  • We proudly provided benefits to same sex domestic partners before marriage equality in the US, and continually seek to ensure our benefits support our goals of diversity & inclusion, including providing 12 weeks of paid parental leave to the men and women of CMC globally
  • Globally we provide mothers’ rooms to support women who return to the workforce while still breastfeeding
  • Our US sites provide prayer rooms for employees of all religions and none
  • Our Code of Business Conduct is rigorously enforced and we train our teams globally every year, reinforcing with our employees that we do not tolerate discrimination, bullying, retaliation, etc.
